I can't fucking believe this

FUCK FUCK FUCK!

Aussie (and NZ) tour dates for Christina Aguilera have been announced for July - this is a good thing.

THE SYDNEY DATE IS WHEN I'M AWAY!

So, Brisbane/Melbourne friends, any chance anyone's thinking of going to see Christina?

Boy am I glad I didn't post a gloating message about NSW beating QLD in the rugby last night

People are finally realising there are people in the west :)

And we aren't all backwards hicks. We'll leave that to the Tasmanians *g*

You're so lucky they don't have access to the interwebs in Tasmania ;p

I was glad to see that :)

I hadn't even heard she was touring. I'd love to see her. If you wanted to come to Melbourne I'd be up for going.

This was the first news I'd heard about her touring - most of the time the emails I get from Frontier Touring get deleted straight away, but occasionally it pays off :)

I wish I could come to Melbourne! I was hoping I might be able to fly direct from Canberra or Cooma (we are skiing from Sunday 22nd to Friday 27th, which is the day of the Melbourne concert), but it's not looking promising. I will continue to check out options and let you know.

Alas, there just doesn't seem to be an even-vaguely cost effective way of getting down to Melbourne for the concert. I think I'm going to pass on seeing her altogether. By "saving" this money, I'll be able to justify going to Wellington for get_together in September.

[identity profile] indybrat.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww that's too bad. But I do see your point in saving the money now. I'm debating if I should join Frontier and try to get pre-sale tickets or take a chance on the general release. I'll most likely go by myself so I figure getting a single ticket in the general release shouldn't be too bad. Either way they both go on sale when I should be at work damnit. Oh and I meant to ask you - is joining Frontier free or is there a fee?

[identity profile] erilyn.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, since Melbourne was proving impossible, I costed flying to Brisbane for a night to see her by myself there. With the timing, I wouldn't be able to stay a while and make a proper visit, and the cost (without the concert ticket) is a significant chunk of going to Wellington where I will be able to spend days hanging out with people, so Christina is being sacrificed *sniff*.

Joining at Frontier is free, can't remember when I did, maybe waiting for BSB to tour?

I saw it on TV last night, and I'm dying to go! I said to Anthony "I have to go to that!!!" Lets hope we do!

Hope you get to it :D
