Kill Bill Vol 2

Just got back from seeing this with [livejournal.com profile] tboy. We had a not bad meal at the Regal beforehand (once they got her order right), but the service was so bad we're never going there again. It felt very impressive not to need tickets, but just to get ushered through when she spoke the magic word of how we were there *g*. Hope it didn't take you too long to get home, hon! Hope [livejournal.com profile] lydia_petze and [livejournal.com profile] veronamay enjoy it tomorrow :)

Not as fast paced as the first one. The scene with the grave was one the scariest fucking things as I've ever seen. The use of music and the sound editing was a good as the first one. Daryl Hannah rocks. Uma Thurman rocks even more. Beautifully shot, the wedding rehearsal scene was just gorgeous, as was the quarry where Bud's trailer was. Damn funny movie, particularly the second half. I enjoyed it a lot. And I use this icon as the only one I can see of mine that could have a connection to the movie ;)

I think so, from what Sel said in her journal.

The grave! Oh, man.

Loved the humour all throughout the flick.

You know what bothered me most about Daryl Hannah? That there was still something else in there with her at the end. ::shudder::

Most excellent movie, and company! Thanks for coming with me :-).

I know, I almost wish she'd put Elle out of her misery *shudder*. My sister was curious why I ordered her never to watch it, so I just told her there was a segment of her worst fear, and she stopped asking. Quentin Taratino is some sort of genius, so much shuddering and wincing and yet so much laughter, all in the one movie :)

The grave was brilliant - I saw definite homage to The Vanishing in there, too.

But the scene of her emerging frome the graveyard was funny as fuck. I almost wet myself.

It was damn funny, plus, flashbacks to the beginning of Buffy season 6 *g*.

But the sequence in the coffin before the flashback to training part? Fucking nervewracking.

Actually, I came home and told my sister she's never allowed to watch this movie, or if she does, there's a segment she has to skip. That's her worse fear right there.

I actually found the burial scene in The Vanishing a lot scarier, but maybe that was just because it was my first. Uma's panic was pretty infectious, though. Freaked Amanda out good.

Here's where I confess I haven't seen The Vanishing, but considering how stressful I found watching this, maybe I shouldn't :)
