The storyline was rather standard - experiment goes wrong, hideous consequences, delusions of grandeur etc. But the interaction between the Doctor and Martha made it entertaining. I like their friendship, that he is valuing her and that she has skills. The interaction with Martha's mum was hilarious early on, and a bit sad at the end (with the brilliant Slap of History Repeating in between). Of course your mum is going to want to keep you safe.

I really need to go back and make better note of all the Saxon references that have been in the season so far. I'd love to know what else his flunky told Martha's mum, if it was anything beyond "the Doctor is dangerous".

Oooh, almost forgot - a reversing the polarity gag! And how he used to be faster at it :)

Insert obligatory "David Tennant was damn hot in the tux" comment here. Yum!

Rest of season preview squee: CAPTAIN JACK!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

I love the only line we heard from him, "was someone just kissing me?", though John Barrowman should never ever be filmed running *g*. I rewatched the trailer like three times, making sure I'd spotted all the bits where it was Doctor + 2, not + 1 :D

Derek Jacobi! John Simms! That had me just flailing in glee, I had no idea either of them was going to be on.

And I do like the look of the upcoming adventures, why do we have to wait, I want them now!

My only reaction was "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" when I saw Jack. I'm *dying* to see how their first interaction will be. His reaction to no Rose, to the new Doctor, all of it!

I totally agree. I usually watch parts of it myself, but with it kicking Who back a week, I may just have to watching something else in protest. I mean, it's not like we'll win anyway (Norway I mean) so why should I watch at all.

OK, so I'll see the results, but I'll feel really bad about it...

Still, they could have aired Who earlier in the day. Or after it was finished. I could have waited a few extra hours for the dl! By pushing it back, they are making Jack cry!!!!!!!!
