erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (mcr - cupcake)
Just felt like posting some stuff. Please don't link to my files or journal on communities, message boards, forums etc, thank you. I'd appreciate if you comment when you download, helps me keep track of things.

+ MCR - Welcome to the Black Parade (live) - 54 meg
I've heard them sound better (the mix sounds a bit off or something, idk), but it's a gorgeously shot live performance music video of it (from here).

String Quartet Tribute albums - I really like these, though I haven't listened to all the Panic one yet.
+ My Chemical Romance - Bullets and Three Cheers - 53 meg
+ Fall Out Boy - TTTYG and FUCT - 36 meg
+ Panic at the Disco - Pretty. Odd. - 52 meg

KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas 2004 (though they really aren't almost acoustic) - fun performances, pro filmed. Gerard's wearing tinsel at the start, Mikey's got a cute beanie, Frank's in the pink hair phase.
+ Helena - 48 meg
+ Thank You for the Venom - 45 meg
+ Honey this mirror isn't big enough for the both of us - 41 meg
+ You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison (with Bert) - 37 meg
It's at the end of this that Gerard starts asking if the crowd has done all their Chrismas shopping yet, and if they get something for him, to not spend more than 25 bucks, cause you'll get a blowjob anyway.
+ Give Em Hell Kid - 25 meg
+ I'm Not Okay - 35 meg
Gerard sings a bit of We Wish You a Merry Christmas at the beginning. I could watch Frank on the floor from 3:08-3:12 over and over and over.

I was checking the setlist against this complete file at youtube (crappy quality, sound out of synch), but discovered that sadly, whoever shared the mpgs/made separate files of them cut Gerard introducing You Know What They Do (its from 13:23 at youtube).

He beckons Bert onstage, and says "We're gonna sing a song together about getting sodomised in jail if you guys are into that". When he's starting to tell the audience to snap along, Bert is all "Happy Holidays Gerard!" and Gerard stops and pats Bert on the head and wishes him happy holidays, and says he got Bert a present, though Bert's tone when he says he got Gerard a present too is weird. So doooooooomed. Bert's hair is really long here.
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (fob-group)
please don't link to the files, or link to my journal in communities/message boards. please comment if you download, I appreciate it and it helps me know what interest there is for footage.

+ Panic - FUSE Celebrity Playlist June 06 - 33 meg
The boys look good, and are kind of giggly and flirty.

+ Travis sings "But It's Better If You Do" - 17 meg
Complete with awesome dancing.

My Chemical Romance
+ MTV Diary - 158 meg
Fantastic behind-the-scenes of Warped 05 (including blink-and-you'll-miss-them cameos by some of FOB). So many great moments, it's some of my favourite MCR footage.

+ Channel 4 Music Presents My Chemical Romance - 170 meg
Four gorgeous black and white performances, interspersed with cute interview clips.

+ Under Pressure (live) - 42 meg
+ Under Pressure (mp3) - 4.5 meg
I'm picky about covers of Queen, but I enjoy this one. The live performance is all kinds of wonderful - including watching Bert and Gerard together (and mournfully saying DOOOOOMED periodically, as one does when seeing pictures or footage from this era) but Mikeyway rocking the fuck out on THE TAMBOURINE is one of my favourite things ever.

+ Welcome to the Black Parade music video - 150 meg
+ Teenagers music video - 41 meg
+ Famous Last Words music video - 66 meg
+ Famous Last Words alternate music video - 47 meg
The second FLW is the version where you see Bob run away from the fire once the pain has gotten too much. Oh Bob.

+ Gerard and Ray singing Thanks for the Venom - 300 kb
Audio rip of the a cappella snippet in LOTMS.

+ On the Spot - 2.7 meg
Day or night? Vampires or werewolves? Cats or dogs?

Fall Out Boy
+ Pete's FAVE band - 1 meg
For popslash people especially ;)

+ Hollister special - 102 meg
late 2004/early 2005? Interviews, photoshoot, tiny instore performance - much much goodness. Including tales of Pete and his brother jumping off the roof (not too long before this was filmed) and their mum's reaction. Pete's tiara is modelled, and his unfortunate bout of leprosy explained.

+ Making the Video - Sugar We're Going Down - 101 meg
Patrick wears a pith helmet. Pete demolishes a fence with a golfcart. Andy throws a hissy fit at wardrobe. Good times.

+ Exposed - 58 meg
Interview in Mall of America. Andy is a pussy about feeding sharks. They lose Patrick. They need a block to stand on to be regular height. Possibly Joe is actually the furry of the group.

+ FOE Atlanta pt 1 - 18 meg
+ FOE Atlanta pt 2 - 19 meg
+ FOE Atlanta pt 3 - 17 meg
So much good stuff, from last year. Including debating the ethics of downloading your own leaked album. Pete v Charlie over whether something is vegan or not. Clearly that's Hemingway's stunt double (or Patrick's) since you see them together. Discussion about the fake stuff for Pete's Cribs episode. Patrick warming up before the show = some of my favourite footage :)
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (mcr - raygerard)
Panic are performing on SNL on April 5th, which is pretty cool. Christopher Walken is the host. Ahahahahahahahahaha, that's ridiculously awesome.

Here's a bunch of various footage and audio that I've enjoyed and thought I'd share, especially as there's a least a few of you who are also relative newcomers to the bands, so might not have seen some of them.

please don't link to the files, or link to my journal in communities/message boards. Commenting if you download is much appreciated.

+ MCR - the Attic Demos - 17.4 meg
+ MCR - Astro Zombies (Misfits cover) - 3 meg

+ Crossover Interview of Awesomeness - 43 meg
Alex Suarez, Ryan Ross, Travis McCoy and Mike Carden. Together. Being awesome. Talking about underage fans, their future offspring forming bands, and Gabe's nipples (amongst other things).

+ Gerard impersonating Ray - 4 meg
Gerard tries his best mockery. Mikey reacts with an eyebrow raise.

+ Gabe and Travis - 2.7 meg
Hanging out in Gabe's place, mocking Fall Out Boy.

+ Pete on FUSE - 45 meg
from early 2006. Steven's interviews are always worth watching.

+ FOB Rock Sound TV Part 1 - 40 meg
+ FOB Rock Sound TV Part 2 - 11 meg
Some good one-on-one stuff with Patrick and Joe (who gets to draw stuff). I'm guessing they realised Andy doesn't say much, as they interview him and Pete together.

+ FOB Rolling Stone covershoot - 7 meg
footage of the photoshoot (boys playing with lightsabres *g*) and some interview bits (including Patrick singing "Almost Like Being In Love").

+ TAI - Slow Down (live, with bonus Pete) - 39 meg
Pretty good quality, from Warped 06. Pete comes out to sing (that should possibly be "sing") with William.

+ Panic - Rolling Stone interview - 36 meg
one of the first Panic interviews I ever saw, so much good stuff (including Ryan and Spencer's childhood misadventures). You'll probably need to turn your speakers up.

+ Panic - Live105Q&A - 15 meg
It's funny - as I've become more familiar with Panic, I'm reminded less strongly of Emmett (from QAF US) by Brendon here. Good interview from late 2006. The fan questions aren't too annoying, lots of fun stuff.

+ Panic - live concert from KROQ - 70 meg
Panic performing at KROQ's Almost Acoustic 2006.

Some radio interviews (most are from Nov/Dec 07, except the last two)
+ Pete on NPR - 8 meg
+ NZ interview with Ray - 7 meg
+ Hilarious Aussie interview with Frank and Mikey - 9 meg
+ Aussie interview with Gerard - 8 meg
+ Very funny NZ interview with Gerard - 11.5 meg
+ Bob and Gerard on KROQ - 4.5 meg
+ Singer and Cash from The Cab being their own karaoke party - 8.5 meg
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (fob-pete)
Hallelujah, my Firefox has decided to start displaying LJ again correctly (it wasn't threading comments properly, which made them virtually unreadable). I don't mind occasionally using IE, but I'm so glad to switch back.

Another interesting quirk my Firefox has (or my lj layout, I don't know) is with embedded videos. I often have to go into someone's post to see what video they're actually trying to link to, because in my friendspage view, it'll display a video that someone else posted and I watched. A week ago. And since then, every video will display as that one. So for ages, I was getting cognitive dissonance everytime because it appeared that non-pop people kept posting baby BSB footage. But no, they were posting something else, but it'd display as that.

So this afternoon, I was very confused (but amused!) that Travis was posting that a typical Saturday for him was...a video of The Cab from SXSW. Of course, it turns out that a typical Saturday is actually watching Eddie Murphy with Hemingway, so that's sweet too. I'm a little confused by his post before that - was the fire in his room in Pete's place? Is Pete a pyro who tries to lure friends into having to share his bed by setting fire to the guest room?

Watching behind-the-scenes videos from FOB tours often makes me feel like I'm watching the sado-masochistic love affair of Charlie and Dirty. "C'mon, just one punch".

Today, [livejournal.com profile] iibnf and I checked out a cool little exhibit about the poorly-named Rum Rebellion against Governor Bligh. Why that gets the focus, when the trigger was actually about property rights (an even more quintessentially Sydney obsession than booze), escapes me. The Moran Portrait Prize and Photographic Prize exhibits were pretty good too. Then we visited [livejournal.com profile] tapedeck, and then had a little yum cha. Oh, and we accidentally ended up in a St Patricks Day picnic area (we were so confused why we had to have our bags checked just to walk through Hyde Park).
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (mcr - frank)
Yay, Frank and Jamia got married on the weekend :D

In cute-but-confusing news, Joe Trohman has a gorgeous ginger cat but no dog. So who the pug (from his episode of Cribs) belongs to is anyone's guess.

Does anyone know where I could find photos/video of Cash showing off the tattoo on his chest? I was trying to describe it to [livejournal.com profile] katienyc, and couldn't find where I'd seen it. ETA: got it :)

I'm so tempted to go to the beach, it's supposed to get to 27 today (80, for backwards fahrenheit people). Maybe if I get a lot (like most) of my tutorial work done.
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (bass)
I took quite a lot of video at the two BSB concerts. Like, 50+ clips of varying length (about 18-20 minutes in total) at each. But they're in quite large .mov format - about 3 gig in total, which is ridiculously large for sharing, obviously.

I'm trying to find a good format/setting to compress them (I'm using Ulead VideoStudio at the moment) without losing too much quality, but it's kind of trial and error at this stage. Any suggestions or advice are eagerly welcomed.

Of course, that it's not helping that my brain has been fried by the presence of both Lance Bass and Pete Wentz in the same video, singing about fucking Ben Affleck. Let alone all the other people in it too.

erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (mcr - dorks)
Does anyone have Blood (Track 14 from The Black Parade) edited to get rid of the silence before it? I've been meaning to do it, but haven't gotten around to it, and someone has asked me for it.

A question about Pete on [livejournal.com profile] bandfandom_ref led to this site being linked to: Half of Us, aimed at mental health issues amongst college students. I hadn't heard about (or seen) the videos of Pete talking about his depression, overdose and therapy before. Very candid, uncomfortable to watch but compelling.

On a much lighter note, apparently Michael Guy Chislett has heard about my mental block about slashing Aussies, and has embarked on a campaign to make me get over this. His latest step is to be half-naked (or more?) in bed with Butch Walker (they're releasing an album together, but are refusing to get out of bed until someone designs them an album cover).

Typical. I don't post in a week, then I post twice in two hours.
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (fob-petepatrick)
Both of these are stolen from [livejournal.com profile] _lolapalooza:

* Adlercast interview with Pete and Patrick - part 1, part 2 and part 3.
One of my new favourite interviews. Not very long, but full of goodness and hilarity and talk about monkey orgasms and Mikey Way's tshirts and gun laws (...not all at the same time though).

* KarmaloopTV on tour with Gym Class Heroes - if someone could guarantee I could watch Travis, Gabe and Ryland sing Bohemian Rhapsody at AK47 together, complete with Gabe molesting Ryland (and Gabe and Travis cracking each other up and cuddling at other times), I'd buy a fucking plane ticket to NY today. Not that it would be my only reason, but could tip me over into going right now rather than at some sensibly planned point in the future.
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (band-gabe)
From the info post about [livejournal.com profile] bandombigbang (which all you writerly types should sign up for *g*): or Pete Wentz/Rodney McKay, whatever floats your boat)

Oh god, I really really want to read this now. And not like in [livejournal.com profile] skoosiepants's Supersaturation 'verse (though their interaction in that is awesomely funny), I want Pete Wentz the rockstar, meets Rodney McKay, scientist. I have no idea how or why, but my brain has seized on this image with glee. It wouldn't even have to be pairing them up. ::boggles::

Of course, no sga/musician pairing can supplant my true otp of Sheppard/Nick Carter, as written by [livejournal.com profile] coreopsis.

*** ** * ** ***

In other news-about-me, I think I really really want the tour tshirt from the Cobra tour, despite, you know, not going to it. And some of the other merch. ::craves::

And now it is time to Torchwood! ...well, it can be a verb, can't it? Though it'd probably mean to have sex with an alien or something.
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (gabewilliam)
Everyone who might be interested in these probably already has them, but just in case...
Don't direct link to the files, and please don't link to my journal from communities/message boards/forums etc.

Fall Out Boy - MTV Diary

So much good stuff (is it creepy that footage of Patrick shoe shopping is fascinating? Actually, don't answer that). I love them bitching about stupid interviews, and Pete indulging his furry kink (and scaring small children in my city).

Not sure of source - English guy asking questions sent in by fans. Axl Rose complimented Spencer and Brendon secretly loves Nsync.
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (mcr - cupcake)
There's been a fair bit of flailing about reports of him saying this in an interview, and I just found a link to this clip. Alas, it is only 30 seconds and cuts off while Patrick is talking, but there's definitely knowledge displayed of MCR's gaming habits, at the very least. So, I choose to believe his next comments probably would have been about playing with them :)

erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (happy2)
Ahahahahahahaha! Fall Out Boy and Backstreet Boys are both playing Jingle Ball in NY this year. I'm gonna be so sad when no videos of Nick Carter singing William's part in Sophomore Slump (and smooching Patrick) appear. Because [livejournal.com profile] nafs's Moments When You Can't Deny It's True owns my heart :D

Awesome collection of Cobra Starship pre-order polaroids - she's found 143 of them so far.
erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (fob-petepatrick)
I must join in the fandom-wide posting about this *g*, especially as it's mostly been the Friday night file I've seen linked to.

>> Friday night

>>> Saturday night (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] femmequixotic)

I'm loving on this picture (click for bigger) of William and Gabe (from here), not just for the snuggliness, but for the hole in William's shirt. Perhaps this will become the stomach equivalent of his old nipple-flashing top?

After just one week, Unbreakable has fallen outside the top 50 albums on the Aussie charts :(
